Summertime is nearly finished. Why not just grab some barbecue before the fun time ends?

Hoy Pinoy, one of my favourite place in every year’s Sydney night noodle market, is recently opened a pop-up store, at the centre of the Moore Park Entertainment Quarter.

nowadays the sun still up until 8 pm, so it’s the perfect time to grab a couple of friends and sit in the perfect garden (I dreamed to have a garden like this), and grab some barbecue which originated Filipino. We ordered 20 Inihaw na Manok (Chicken skewers with traditional soy glaze) ($13 for 2) to start:

the soy glaze just looks so delicious (and it tastes delicious too!!)

Not only the barbecue but other stuff here also very very delicious. For example, this tray of Boodle Fight ($25):

(start from Top left: Liempo fried rice, Chicken Inasal, Lechon Kawali, Bistek Tagalog and Pinya Atchara salad)
Boodle fight was a traditional Filipino military style of food that just use hands to eat.  It has various types of food serves at the same time. The Boodle fight in Hoy Pinoy including all the highlight of the summer barbecue menu.  It will surely fill your belly after a whole day of hard work

I have to highlight this ginger and lemongrass chicken piece in the boodle fight is just TOOOOO delicious!

If barbecue it’s not really you’re things. how about some Empanada ($8 each, chicken asado puff)

The empanada is well made. The puff pastry is perfectly baked – moisture but also have right crispiness. The chicken inside was saucy and tender!

Also, how about, some dessert?
The collaboration with N2 bring us this “halo halo ($12)“: a scoop of ice cream from N2,  (we got taro flavour), with shredded ice, jackfruit and coconut jelly.  Summer night in Sydney can be sweltering but not anymore with this halo halo 🙂

I had some great time here, sit on the sofa and talking to my friends that night.
